Let's Finish the Field!
Our Goal: Expanding Opportunity with a Multi-Use Play Space
​Imagine an area where PE classes have access to an outdoor space, where small groups can easily start a game of kickball while others play a game of tag, and where every Kings Town student has a vibrant, level space for daily activity.
That's the vision of the Kings Town Elementary Turf Project!
​
Currently, the rocky, sandy areas in our back playground limit their function. Turfing this space will transform it into a premium, all-weather field, allowing us to vastly expand the number and type of activities we can host during recess and physical education.
​
The Cost: $165,000
Initial estimates are approximately $165,000 to fully finish our turf in two different areas on the 1st-5th Grade Playground, but we are closer than ever! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we have already secured a significant portion of the funding:

Kings Town Allocation: ~$70,000 (primarily from this year's successful Boosterthon).

KTES PTO Contribution: A generous sum from the PTO will also be applied.
This means we're more than halfway there, but we still need your support to close the approximately $70,000 gap required to complete both sections of turf this school year.
